Popis územia
Deforested slope plateau on the dolomite substrate represents the rare non-forest habitat with high xerothermic plant and animal species representation on the south bottom of the Považský Inovec Mt. Native xerothermic grassland stands are not managed. The site is of a big recreational and educational importance for citizens of the near town Hlohovec.
Ciele ochrany
Xerothermic communities in the most southern elongation of Považský Inovec Hills. Important locality of Pulsatilla grandis. Occurrence of steppe species as Saga pedo, Mantis religiosa, Bolbelasmus unicornis and Euphydryas aurinia. Biodiversity of the territory is significantly supported with the presence of the thermophilous Pannonic oak forests.
Zraniteľnosť
Habitats are vulnerable in case of breach of the protection conditions, i.e. trampling down the grassland vegetation by non-respecting the prohibition of free movement of visitors within the site. Non-forest habitats are potencially endangered also by secondary succession, i.e. overgrowing with the invasive wood species.
