Popis územia
The site is located in the Hron River alluvium south to the village Bacúch. Conservation efforts focus on the preservation of rare waterlogged forest stands with Alnus glutinosa, Alnus incana and Picea abies. Nationally protected species of plants are represented by e.g. mountain clubmoss Huperzia selago.
Ciele ochrany
The site features the well-developed spruce-alder wood of the forest site type group Alnetum incanae. The site is located in the buffer zone of the Muránska planina NP and it has been under continual protection since 1967 when it was desigmated as a nature reserve.
Zraniteľnosť
Local communities are under threat from the penetration of the invasive and non-native species of plants.
