Popis územia
The site is represented by the north-southern line of the alder habitat along the upper part of the Pílanský potok brook in the southern part of the Vtáčnik mountain range.
From the geomorphological point of view, the site is a "V" valley without or only poorly developed floodplain.
Ciele ochrany
The aim of protection is to preserve the well-developed alder and willow-poplar forests.
Quality and importance:
The site is significant for the preservation of the habitat Ls 1.1 - Mixed ash-alder alluvial forests of temperate and Boreal Europe.
Zraniteľnosť
Potential threats to the locality are caused by near settlements. Natural watercourse depression is likely to become a place for illegal waste dump.
